Late Nights...
Studying at 1:15am for a test that begins at 9am sharp is probably not the smartest way to go, but here I am, falling asleep and still sick. I wish I could look forward to a relaxing weekend, but working takes all the relaxation out of me. 7 1/2 more hours to go!

It's Been a While...
Let's see, what's new since I last posted... MONTHS ago...
1) I started my senior year at Biola. It's so weird. I vividly remember when I was moving into Horton my freshman year and my dad said, "You know, pretty soon you're going to be graduating!" I'm pretty sure he's said something like that every year since my very first. My classes are going to be challenging this semester, but that's to be expected... they're all upper division Bible/Communication classes except for my bowling class (yes, I said bowling). I'm also in my 3rd and final semester of American Sign Language. I'm taking 17 units, and my schedule is actually pretty flexible. Tuesday is the only day that is totally packed... I go from 9am to 6pm with an hour and a half break for lunch. I'm trying to remember to soak up everything I can while I'm still in school... I can't believe I'm almost done!!!
2) I'm not living on campus anymore. I'm a few blocks away from school in a house with 5 other girls. The outside of the house is bright pink and the inside is mostly wood paneling with some random wall paper here and there... and the poop brown wall in my room. There are four bedrooms and two bathrooms, so two of us have our own rooms (yes, I'm one of the lucky ones!). The kitchen is pretty big, and there's a living room with a fireplaces and two couches that the owners left here, a library with a ton of shelves for all of our books, and a "front room" as we call it. That room is sort of our secondary TV room. We have a washer and dryer here, too! It's such a blessing. The house is pretty big, but when we first moved in it was absolutely F.I.L.T.H.Y. There was dirt and dust and grime everywhere. It's taking a while to get everything fairly clean, but we're getting there. We were also welcomed by 5 wasp nests and 1 VERY large spider right outside our back door when we arrived. They're gone now, thankfully!
3) I stopped working at Disneyland (various reasons) and am now a bridal consultant at Alfred Angelo Bridal. It's a good company, family owned for 75 years. I enjoy most aspects of it, like working with the brides and the gowns and getting to be a part of that experience, but every job has it's downside. I have to work every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, pretty much all day. They don't really like to give time off, so that's a hassle. And currently our air conditioning is broken (and has been for THREE WEEKS!!!!!). We got portable units after about 2 weeks, but they only help if you're standing right in front of them. The air is hot, smelly, sweaty, stuffy, and overall just not very pleasant. But no one has passed out yet!
4) Just in case anyone has been wondering, Keith and I are still together. 8 months and counting!
5) I came down with a bad cold last Thursday and it's still going strong. I'm going to try to go to the health center tomorrow to get it checked out because it's not like normal colds that i get. My ears are plugged and sore, I have a bad cough, stuffy nose, scratchy throat (which has caused my voice to say GOODBYE), and headache. It's not the most fun thing I've ever experienced, and i wouldn't mind if it left. (Blogging at 2am probably isn't helping matters, but in my defense I took a 4 1/2 hour nap this afternoon and am now unable to fall asleep.)
I don't think there is anything else too exciting to write about. Life is pretty monotonous: school, work, sleep, boyfriend (!! =D). And in between there I'm trying to figure out what to do with the rest of my life. I'll figure it out one of these days. :)
For Keith's birthday in May I made him a chocolate cake... I tried to get candles for it but he wouldn't let me.
To the left you will see Bancroft. He is the spider who lived outside our back door for so long.
Before Keith left Riverside he took my to the Nixon Library... I love it and we like presidents.
There is so much to read and see inside and outside... a beautiful garden that we walked through and the gorgeous pool that you can sort of see behind us.

Apartment!!
I'm all moved into my new apartment! It's in Wilshire Promenade, in Fullerton. It's pretty nice, and it has brand new carpet! It still smells like new carpet. The night I moved in I went to the grocery store and bought things like soap, a sponge, toilet paper, and other little necessities, and I had SO. MUCH. FUN. I had a girlish giddiness when I was shopping for the "grown up" things, and I decided in these past five days that I REALLY enjoy living on my own. :)
School is almost over and it's almost SUMMER!!!!

It's almost April
It's about mid-semester, the time when everyone starts lagging. Midterms are happening, papers are due, reading is heavier. I've started counting down to Easter Break, and after that the only thing on my mind will be that oh-so-beautiful time of SUMMER. My living arrangement this summer should be much better than it was last summer. Rachelle, Erin, Karin and I are hopefully going to live in a large house with about 10 girls. It's a very nice house, and the four of us are going to share a very spacious master bedroom that has an amazing bathroom. The house is only two years old, and we're all anxious about it.
All things considered, everything is going pretty well. I'm anxious for summer, yes, but I am enjoying most of my classes and I feel like I'm learning a lot of applicable things this semester.
It's getting hot though. I don't like the heat. I grew up in Los Osos, for crying out loud.

Rainy Days
It started raining yesterday, raining hard. I generally love the rain. Rain and fog are my two favorite types of weather. However, it tends to be much more enjoyable when there's the possibility of a heater and a warm shower after running through the torrential downpour all day. That possibility was not available this weekend. There was a break in a water main yesterday and our whole building is out of hot water and heat until tomorrow! I decided to take a cold shower and just try and convince myself that the water was really warm, but it didn't work. It was not a fun experience, but it definitely made me appreciate hot showers a lot more than I used to!! I got to wake up this morning and hear thunder and see lightning... it was wonderful! I wouldn't be opposed to this weather lasting all week.... I just want a hot shower back.

It's January!!
And I can't believe it. The year went by so slowly at times, but when I look back on it I realize that it went by a lot more quickly than I thought at the time. But I guess that's the way it always is, isn't it? I have all of my grades except for one posted, and the one I need is in sign language and I'm nervous about it. Mostly just because I know the professor didn't get my last assignment because he never responded to my emails. If that seriously affects my grade then I'm going to be really bothered and I'll probably have words (or signs?) with some people.
Christmas and New Years were both wonderful. I was able to be home for 2 weeks, and that hadn't happened in over a year. It was wonderful to be able to catch up with people and just relax a lot. I got sick at the end of my trip which put a slight damper on things, but it could have been worse.
Last week I went to San Jose with my friend Karin to visit my old roommate Rachelle. We had so much fun! We went to San Francisco on Thursday and it was amazing! Our family went there probably about 10 years ago and I barely remember it, so it all felt new to me. We had so much fun just talking and walking around and looking at stuff. Rachelle and Karin are both going to Washington, D.C. this next semester, and I'm really going to miss them. I'm excited to hear about all of their stories though!
This break is going to be pretty laid back for me, and I'm planning on just catching up on my reading, I think I want to reread Lord of the Rings and probably Harry Potter. It's nice to think that I have a few more weeks of nothing in particular planned!!
