Let's see, what's new since I last posted... MONTHS ago...
1) I started my senior year at Biola. It's so weird. I vividly remember when I was moving into Horton my freshman year and my dad said, "You know, pretty soon you're going to be graduating!" I'm pretty sure he's said something like that every year since my very first. My classes are going to be challenging this semester, but that's to be expected... they're all upper division Bible/Communication classes except for my bowling class (yes, I said bowling). I'm also in my 3rd and final semester of American Sign Language. I'm taking 17 units, and my schedule is actually pretty flexible. Tuesday is the only day that is totally packed... I go from 9am to 6pm with an hour and a half break for lunch. I'm trying to remember to soak up everything I can while I'm still in school... I can't believe I'm almost done!!!
2) I'm not living on campus anymore. I'm a few blocks away from school in a house with 5 other girls. The outside of the house is bright pink and the inside is mostly wood paneling with some random wall paper here and there... and the poop brown wall in my room. There are four bedrooms and two bathrooms, so two of us have our own rooms (yes, I'm one of the lucky ones!). The kitchen is pretty big, and there's a living room with a fireplaces and two couches that the owners left here, a library with a ton of shelves for all of our books, and a "front room" as we call it. That room is sort of our secondary TV room. We have a washer and dryer here, too! It's such a blessing. The house is pretty big, but when we first moved in it was absolutely F.I.L.T.H.Y. There was dirt and dust and grime everywhere. It's taking a while to get everything fairly clean, but we're getting there. We were also welcomed by 5 wasp nests and 1 VERY large spider right outside our back door when we arrived. They're gone now, thankfully!
3) I stopped working at Disneyland (various reasons) and am now a bridal consultant at Alfred Angelo Bridal. It's a good company, family owned for 75 years. I enjoy most aspects of it, like working with the brides and the gowns and getting to be a part of that experience, but every job has it's downside. I have to work every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, pretty much all day. They don't really like to give time off, so that's a hassle. And currently our air conditioning is broken (and has been for THREE WEEKS!!!!!). We got portable units after about 2 weeks, but they only help if you're standing right in front of them. The air is hot, smelly, sweaty, stuffy, and overall just not very pleasant. But no one has passed out yet!
4) Just in case anyone has been wondering, Keith and I are still together. 8 months and counting!
5) I came down with a bad cold last Thursday and it's still going strong. I'm going to try to go to the health center tomorrow to get it checked out because it's not like normal colds that i get. My ears are plugged and sore, I have a bad cough, stuffy nose, scratchy throat (which has caused my voice to say GOODBYE), and headache. It's not the most fun thing I've ever experienced, and i wouldn't mind if it left. (Blogging at 2am probably isn't helping matters, but in my defense I took a 4 1/2 hour nap this afternoon and am now unable to fall asleep.)
I don't think there is anything else too exciting to write about. Life is pretty monotonous: school, work, sleep, boyfriend (!! =D). And in between there I'm trying to figure out what to do with the rest of my life. I'll figure it out one of these days. :)
For Keith's birthday in May I made him a chocolate cake... I tried to get candles for it but he wouldn't let me.
To the left you will see Bancroft. He is the spider who lived outside our back door for so long.
Before Keith left Riverside he took my to the Nixon Library... I love it and we like presidents.
There is so much to read and see inside and outside... a beautiful garden that we walked through and the gorgeous pool that you can sort of see behind us.
